We ensure the chemicals used by our housekeeping, carpet, and window cleaning teams are environmentally friendly. We use a dry carpet cleaning method to reduce the amount of water needed to keep the carpets clean.

Our goal is to make recycling easy for everyone at Truist Plaza. In 2022, we recycled more than 44 tons of materials—or the equivalent of taking 418 cars off the road! Click here to see a full list of recyclable items.

All recyclable materials can be placed in trash bins with a clear or white trash bag. Non-recyclable materials go into trash cans with black liners. Be sure to also recycle your electronic waste properly in one of the bins on the Plaza side of the loading dock.

Truist Plaza has invested approximately $3 million in lighting upgrades throughout the property, including tenant-leased space. This includes over 20,000 new LED fixtures and recycling old, obsolete light bulbs. LED lamps are the new building standard.

We want to encourage you to commute green by biking to work safely. Truist Plaza has a fully secure bike cage with racks and bike repair equipment on C Level of the garage. Contact our parking office to sign up for access to one of the bike spots.

Ten new EV charging stations were installed on E Level of the garage in 2022. These new chargers allow for faster charging and a streamlined payment process. They even provide data to see how much you’re helping the environment.

The ABBC encouraged buildings across Atlanta to reduce energy and water consumption. The goal was to make commercial buildings more efficient by 2020. Truist Plaza exceeded the goal by reducing 25% of energy and 20% of water usage in 2017—three years ahead of schedule!

Truist Plaza is proud to partner with Bee Downtown to provide bee hives at our building. Not only does this provide a sustainable place for the bees but it also creates an engaging environment for employees at Truist Plaza. The apiary gives employees an excuse to get outside, experience the fresh air, and witness the bees in action.

Study after study show that indoor plants have a positive impact on many facets of our lives. Truist Plaza and Garden Offices prides itself on the many plants found throughout the common areas. In fact, 4 varieties of plants found within Truist Plaza have been shown to remove common toxins found in indoor spaces and increase overall indoor air quality.
